Comprehensive Esthetics Using a Digital Workflow

This course will discuss the many exciting topics relevant in today’s general practice as it relates to aesthetic and prosthetic dentistry.  

It will also focus on how digital dentistry and the digital workflow can enhance how and what is possible in this field. Dr. Bown is excited to take you through this modern approach to dentistry.  

Upon completion of this lecture, participants will: 

~Understand what ‘digital dentistry’ can mean for their practice and how to get started ~Grow their practice through improved reputations with fun, easy ideas using Social Media ~Educate their team and inspire them to achieve better results for their patients ~Communicate and treatment plan with the patient using records and a consultation process that will help the lab meet your expectations ~Learn the benefits of using DSD and how it can have positive outcomes for patients to say “yes” 

  Dr. Peggy Sue Bown, originally from Newfoundland, is a graduate of Mount Allison University Hon. BSc. (1997), and Dalhousie School of Dentistry (2001), and has practiced in Saint John, New Brunswick for over 16 years. In 2015, she opened her fully digital interdisciplinary clinic with a renewed passion for creating the ultimate patient experience. Dr. Bown is an enthusiastic participant in continuing education. She has engaged in extensive post-graduate studies in aesthetic dentistry, implantology, cosmetic orthodontics (including Invisalign), sleep medicine, and Digital Smile Design (DSD). She served on the executive for both her local and provincial dental societies for a number of years. In 2014, she received a Fellowship in neuromuscular dentistry from LVI Global. In 2016, she completed both Module 1&& DSD Residencies in New York City at NYU. Most recently she has completed her Mastership in Digital Smile Design and is striving to become one of the first DSD Clinics in Canada. In 2017, she will be lecturing across Canada on Comprehensive Esthetics, Digital Smile Design and Digital Workflow representing the AurumGroup. In orthodontics, she is a Premier Provider of Invisalign and serves as the President of an Invisalign Study Club comprised of dentists from the United States and Canada under the Reingage program. As a mom of two beautiful girls she maintains a growing family practice which includes cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, orthodontics, endodontics, sleep medicine, implantology, and Digital Smile Design. Her efficacious use of photographic documentation of cases provides an invaluable benefit to patient communication and treatment. Her passion for dentistry, particularly as it relates to digital technology, is creating an incredible experience for her patients. Dr. Bown is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the New Brunswick Dental Society, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the Canadian Sleep Society (CSS), and International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA).
