Clinical Indications for Indirect Restorations

COURSE OUTLINE:  

Are you doing too many crowns, onlays and bridges in your office? If so, this program is not for you. For everyone else, we will explore a systematic and efficient approach to delivering predictable high quality indirect restorations in a wide variety of clinical scenarios. The benefits of different materials will be shared, and perhaps most importantly, practice management pearls regarding case acceptance will be provided. Objectives: 1. Achieve a better understanding of the clinical indications for different indirect restorations. 2. Increase awareness of the basic principles of adhesion and how to appropriately use the different options available.. 3. Learn communication skills that assist patient’s determination of their ideal treatment option.

 


BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Drew Markham graduated with an Honour’s B.Sc in Physiology from the University of Toronto in 1993, and his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 1998. Early in his career, he was fortunate to be exposed to the Las Vegas Institute at a time when he was very unhappy with the capitation practice he had joined. From there extensive training led to an LVI Fellowship.  

He later became an LVI Instructor and Regional Director. Dr. Drew also spent eight years as a Board Member for the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics and is a Past President.  

Dr. Drew has also been involved in organized dentistry as a member of the Core Economic Committee of the Ontario Dental Association for four years, and more recently an ODA Councillor.  

Dr. Drew is the President Elect for his Rotary Club, and a Board Member for Community Living Huntsville. He is also the founder of both the Huntsville Makeover, and more recently, Huntsville’s Got Talent.
